When I try to connect to get my picture or ringtone, I get an error
Check that WAP is enabled on your line and that your phone is properly configured for WAP. Please check with your mobile phone network for details. In most cases you will find full instructions on the network's website. If you cannot connect to your network's WAP portal, then your phone is not properly configured.

When I connect to get my picture or ringtone and type my phone number, I don't get anything
You should enter your number in full national format. In the US and Canada, that means an 11 digit number with the leading 1 and area code. In most other countries, that means with the leading area code, usually starting with 0. It should not be input in international format. Note that this only applies for phones that do not support WAP push, URL selection in SMS messages or bookmarks sent over SMS

How is the picture or ringtone sent to my phone?
All color pictures and poly ringotnes are downloaded using WAP. Depending on the type of phone, one of the following will happen:

• we will send you an SMS telling you to connect to our WAP site, you'll just need to go there, type your phone number, and select your picture or ringtone;
• we will send you an SMS including a WAP URL, you'll just need to open the SMS and select the link for your phone to connect to the WAP site and download your logo or picture;
• we will send you a "WAP push" message, you'll just need to select the message for your phone to connect to the WAP site and download your logo or picture.

  What mobile phones are compatible? Mono ringtones are sent by SMS. You just need to save the ringtone upon reception. 24
  Nearly all phones with a color screen are compatible, as well as some grayscale and black and white ones. You can check the full list in the mobile selection menus or here.

  Do I need a phone with a built-in camera?
  No.

  Do I need GPRS?
  No.

  Do I need WAP?
  Yes, you need a phone that is compatible with WAP, that WAP be active on your line, and that your mobile be correctly configured to get to WAP sites. Check with your mobile operator for details.

  What if my phone is not in the list?
  If you have a color or grayscale phone, you can fill out this form to tell us the brand and model name of your mobile, we will do everything we can to support it as soon as possible and let you know.

  Why are black and white mobile phones not supported?
  Black and white phones generally do not have sufficient display quality, and do not always allow picture download.

  What pictures can I use for the personal pictures service?
  You can use any picture you already have on your computer: pictures taken with a digital camera or scanned, pictures created with drawing software, pictures received by e-mail or saved from a web site, etc. We support pictures in many formats: JPEG (also known as JPG), GIF, PNG, BMP, PCX, PICT, and many many others.

  I would like to put a picture of a kitten on my phone, but I don't have any
  You can use search tools such as Google which allow you to find pictures on the web: images.google.com. Once you have found the right picture, click to get the high resolution version, and save it by doing a right-click and by selecting "Save picture as...". You can then use this picture to create your own logo.

  How much does the service cost?
  Rates for the service vary by country, network and payment method. You can check the prices on the page displayed once you selected your network and typed your phone number. You may also incur WAP charges from your network provider, please check with them for exact pricing.

  Cookies, Javascript...
  To be able to use our services, your browser must be configured to accept cookies. For the personal pictures, it must also support Javascript.

  I did not receive the SMS?
  It may take several minutes (sometimes up to an hour) for the SMS to get to you depending on network conditions. However, you can still get your picture or poly ringtone by pointing your mobile phone's WAP browser to http://wap.mobicust.com/. If after an hour you still haven't received the SMS, please use the assistance request form to tell us, we will investigate with the relevant network.

  When I call the number given, it doesn't work?
  Please check with your network operator that your line is not subject to Premium Rate Service barring. If your line has no such restruction, please contact us by using the assistance request form. Please note that you can call the number given from any mobile or landline, you don't need to call from the mobile you want to put your logo or personal picture on.

  Do I need to configure anything on my phone?
  Your phone needs to be configured for WAP. Most phones already are, otherwise please check with your network provider. Philips Fisio 820, 822 and 825 phones also require you to configure the Download Fun server address. Press the Menu key, then select Operator Services, WAP, Advanced, Download Fun, and type http://df.mobicust.com/.
